Simone Webb Exhibition: Part of Chorlton Arts Festival

We are pleased to once again be involved with the Chorlton Arts Festival and are pleased to announce an exclusive art exhibition at Electrik courtesy of Simone Webb that will run from May 17th until May 26th

Simone’s work centres on change and the idea that stagnation is unattractive.

Change; the only constant, repeatedly arising and often inconspicuously, is disconcerting to many.

Preconceptions are constructed, expectations determined, whilst the consolidation of past and present events alongside developments, can cause changes unexpectedly; merging the obsolete with the present, at times uniting as one.

More details on the whole festival can be found at www.chorltonartsfestival.com

Frisky In The Fridge…

Four current favourites that can be found at Electrik…

Brooklyn India Pale Ale
: A deep golden beer brewed from British malt and a blend of hops featuring the choice East Kent Golding variety.

Nogne Imperial Brown Ale
: There is a long story to this malty ale. It was first brewed in the spring 2006 in Nørrebro Bryghus in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a joint brew between Nøgne Ø and Nørrebro. Nørrebro calls their version “Double Knot Brown”. It is the perfect thing to drink with almost any cheese.

Nogne Pale Ale:
A rich, malty, and very bitter ale. Cascade hops provide a long, fruity, and spicy after-taste. Recommended serving temperature 10°C/50°F. Ideal with barbequed or smoked meat dishes.

Houblon Chouffe
: Was brewed for the first time in 2006.  It is an ‘Indian Pale ale’ type of beer, with a harmonious balance between a marked bitterness (three types of hops are used to make it) and a pleasant fruitiness
