Oktober Beer Festival Wed 29th Sep – Sun 3rd Oct
September 3, 2010

Den, der, die, das ……

Come along and try the best of German Beers whilst noshing on your sausage.

Just as we did last year we are bringing a  little bit of the famous Munich Oktober Beer Festival (which strangely starts in September) to Electrik, starting Wednesday the 29th of September running through til the Sunday.

We have got our hands on some of the best German Beers brewed especially for this years Oktober Fest, plus, bending the rules a little, a few others that we particularly like too.

Augustiner, Spaten, Hoffbrau, Paulaner, and Lowenbrau plus more will be showcased alongside some good Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, Brezel and Obadza.

Das ist gut, ja!

Guestrant – The Return of Robert Owen Brown

Monday September 20th from 7.30 pm at Electrik

Robert Owen Brown’s philosophy of proper British/Lancashire cooking, with the highest quality sourced produce, has earned him accolades from various food critics and writers, including the Observer’s Jay Rayner.

Roberts recent nomination for Manchester’s Chef of the Year at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards follows a year of him turning out the city’s best food for years, currently at the Mark Addy restaurant. His original sold out ‘performance’ at Electrik earlier in the year was so outstanding that we have asked him to return again. Fitting too, since Electrik has also been nominated in the Best Bar category for the Manchester Food & Drink Awards.

This time, in accordance with Robert’s passionate belief in locally sourced seasonal food, the focus will be on September’s gaming season. This means that food straight from the land to the plate will be the theme for September’s Guestrant. So game caught by Robert Owen Brown and his assorted comrades will be served on our plates in Chorlton.

Guestrant is about: trying the new, exciting and different. Changing the context and pushing chefs to deliver, in a convivial and buzzy atmosphere.

It’s a social event: expect fun and good conversation.

Vegetarian option available but preference must be stated on purchasing ticket otherwise there will be a meat course
